So as I bid you all farewell for 2016 (we will be back in the new year but we are off to have a break) it's been great! We've had a bumper year, we cooked loads, we did some craft, we went hunting for design trends and found them! We've had a blast!
The final post for 2016 is a simple but very effective addition to your Christmas table.
So firstly, collect some left over Christmas decorations, ribbon or string, old napkin rings and if you threw out those bits you cut off the Christmas tree, quick...run out and rescue them. Finally, print out the names of your guests, I've used the font Aleo Light.
You can fold or roll your napkins and mix and change any of these ideas depending on what you have to hand. I'm a big fan of using what you already have, so try not to go buying anything for these simple but ever so chic table place setting!
1. I've used an old set of napkin rings I had in the drawer. I didn't want to glue them, so I've attached the name with a mini clothes peg that I had in my craft drawer.
2. I always have pine cone decorations every year. So I've simply rolled the napkin and fed it through the pine cone ribbon and then fed a length of tree branch through it. It's actually very solid!
3. A fun option, if you have kids and also don't want to wash up, I've used these wooden cutlery sets, which can be disposed of in the recycling afterwards. Two Christmas baubles with some twine fed through and wrapped around the napkin.
4. This one is my favourite. If you caught our Christmas craft post, we made some salt dough decorations, we made loads!!! so there was lots left over. I've combined a white star with some gold bells and pine twig, placed on top of a plainly folded napkin!
