We decided to wrap up (like it?) Christmas with a little craft project.
Every year the last part of dressing your table always gets over looked in our house. Who sits where? A quick rummage for something to write place settings on and then an argument over who writes them! Now we can't help you with who has the best handwriting BUT we can help with some really simple but very dramatic place settings.
So you will need:
White blank postcard size cards
A sharp scalpel
Shapes to make templates
So take one card and fold in half, really make the crease very sharp as it has to sit up proud!
Then turn the card on it's back. You will need to draw your shape on the inside back part of the card.
Use a shape, here we've used a star. Make sure there is enough of the shape over the crease, you won't be cutting out the whole shape!
Then turn over and make sure your shape sits up proudly!
You can use all sorts of shapes to add some variety or you can do all stars. We used a fork and moon crescent shape too!
For something very simple, we sprayed some fur cones with gold and used star shapes cut from white card
We finished off with some doillie placemats & decorated tealight holders and of course some table sprinkles!
Get your best crockery and cutlery out!
Enjoy your festivities!
Happy Christmas to everyone and thanks for visiting our blog in 2014
